When I first had my blog entry posted (back in 2004), my only purpose was to express myself through writing. It’s the only place where people would not say anything face to face. Where I could freely express what I have in mind. Where I could easily let my feelings out, whatever it is.

So I continued blogging and became active during my preggy days but I felt that my entries/posts were only viewed and read by my fellow expectant mothers. Until, I chanced upon a mommy blogger’s site who has got links of different bloggers in her blog. I didn’t have an idea that it’s some kind of a blog marketing strategy. As simple as you link them to your blog and they link your URL back. A friend explained to me that unique links increase your blog traffic that’s why bloggers request for a link exchange.

But come to think of it, if you have a limited number of blogger friends, how do you think other active bloggers would find you and your blog? If you don’t blog hop and show off your link, how would others know that you blog? I thought of the same thing. That’s why I joined forums and other social media like IZEA, where people are connected through blog posts and sponsorships. What about you, what blog promotion tactics do you have?
