I was clearing up some of my stuff and I saw a magazine that has this 5 Secrets Of Social Success and I thought I’d share it here:

1. Greet people enthusiastically. It lets other person know he or she has your attention.
2. Don’t be a passive listener. Whether the other person is talking about the weather or what cute things her baby did, make comments and ask questions. Verbal responses are more reassuring than non verbal nods.
3. Make eye contact. Nothing is more disconcerting to someone than having the listener look everywhere but at her/him.
4. Don’t be afraid to use the word. Revealing something about yourself is an instant icebreaker.
5. Pay a compliment.
