If you can say that you have lived a life that is entirely free from regrets, you have done incredibly well. For most of us however, there are at least one or two things that we can look back on and wish we did differently. Looking at a few of life’s biggest regrets can help to focus your mind and make you less likely to look back wishing you had done things differently. Here is a list of some common regrets in life for you to take a look at.

Fashion Disasters Let’s start off with a relatively mild one. Pretty much everyone has a few pictures that they look back at while cringing, whether that is because of an unfortunate haircut or inexplicable choice of clothing. Unfortunately, a few fashion disasters last a little longer than just a few weeks. If you have one that you are still permanently carrying around with you, it is worth looking at the best tattoo removal cream. However, on the whole, we can look back on fashion disasters without feeling too bad, and they may even be a source of many laughs!

Working Too Much Okay, let’s look at one which is a little more serious. Of course, we all need to work in order to live. But some people become workaholics and sacrifice relationships in their life in favour of spending more hours slaving away in the office. While it may seem like a good idea at the time to progress up the career ladder, as the old saying goes, no one is lying on their deathbed wishing they had worked more.

Not Learning Enough Skills Many people look back and wish that they had learned more skills rather than spending hours sat in front of the TV. Learning a foreign language tends to be right near the top of this particular list, but a lot of people struggle to find the time or inclination. It does take a high level of commitment to develop skills in life, but the personal satisfaction that you get from mastering something is a truly wonderful feeling.

Not Travelling Enough

Travelling is becoming easier and more accessible for higher numbers of people, but still people are likely to look back with sadness that they haven’t seen all that they could. One way of correcting this is by prioritising experiences over physical possessions. Ultimately, when you look back at your life, these experiences are what you will remember fondly and will mean the most to you.

Being Too Influenced By Other People Another extremely common regret is not living the life that you want, but rather being overly influenced by what others think you should do. Ultimately, if you don’t do what you want to do, this is a recipe for looking back wondering what might have been. Even if you make mistakes along the way, you can take comfort in the fact that they are your mistakes.
