After 8 longs years, I am able to be with the rest of the family and spent some time with our departed loved ones yesterday. I woke up early yesterday morning and met with one of my cousins to pick up the flowers that we ordered the previous day.
From far, white flowers looked like popcorns scattered in different styles. They were all arranged in a basket. We left the house half past four in the afternoon and headed on to the cemetery, it was jam packed already and we had to walk a bit far to get inside, with all the stuff we had in hand, it was quite difficult. Outside the cemetery, I saw an eyecatching stand selling different items related to Halloween, it looked like a gift shop bcoz of the colorful things hanging there. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture even a single photo from outside, it was really crowded. But of course I have a few to share with you:
These photos were taken at the Serenity, where 3 of dad’s siblings are resting:
That’s me in red, next to me were Tita Lanie and my daughter, my Mom, Tita Susan {dad’s sister in law}, then sitting was Ate Pinky {the eldest among cousins}, my Dad, Mariann and Caloy.
This is how it looks {the Serenity}. Now let me show you the Garden where my grandparents {paternal side and my mom’s mother} are resting.
Mama Baleng {Valeriana}, my maternal grandma passed away months before I got married, she didn’t have the chance to see my daughter, and it’s our first time to be with her {on this day} since she left us.
It was another great and memorable experience having met the relatives I haven’t seen and spent time with for years {yeah, including the departed ones}.
More photos to follow in the next few days, my cousins have them and they promised to send it to me within the coming week. Update : More photos here.
