The moment I saw this big antique jar, there’s only one thing that came to my mind “I wonder if it’s the same jar used in one of the horror movies shown back in the 80s”. I hope it’s not.
Anyway, this jar was displayed at the lobby of the Mountain Woods Resort. You’ll find numbers of antique displays in this place. Please click here to see the rest of the antique items seen in this resort. I wonder if they also got antique wood blinds in the rooms. Hmmmmm, I’ll check tomorrow then.

Young Girls and Bullying are like an Online Casino
0 Comments Published August 26th, 2010 in Etcetera. If you have young daughters, you might want to mentally prepare now for what is to come when they enter middle school and high school. Certainly, traditional bullying as been a problem in schools – and especially among young girls – since the dawn of time, but recently, a new form of bullying has emerged and shows no signs of letting up any time soon: cyber bullying. With kids getting online younger and younger these days, and some teachers even requiring social networking as part of homework assignments, it is no surprise girls are taking to their computers to attack each other. But conquering cyber bullying together with your daughter is not as difficult as winning at an online casino. In fact, if you work with her to understand how harmful bullying of any kind, for any reason can be, she will be thankful you took the time to help her.
Today, it is easy for kids to hop online and create pseudonyms to push others around and make threatening comments over the Internet. Now more than ever, children are emboldened by the sense of anonymity and invincibility that comes with online access – and are becoming more and more cruel as a result.

I have a lot of backlogs. I supposed to give the info on sears coupons to my friend but I had completely forgotten about it. The last week had been very stressful for me and now I am down with flu, yet, I need to finish some things online otherwise it will affect the opps that the advertisers are giving me. I don’t wanna miss regular opps again, not this time. I need extra income. The amount that I have recently spent for my bunso’s hospitalization isn’t a joke at all. Plus Ate Deye also is sick and I need to take them to their Pedia tomorrow for their follow up check ups. Plus I am also on medication.
I have no right to get sick these days. I need to be at work. I have some deadlines to beat and I don’t wanna see more deductions on my payslip again.

One of the good advantages of having 2 girls in the family is that you save a lot from buying clothes, shoes and other stuff that much. Buying brand new stuff is fun especially when you are shopping for girls but it could also be a burden to your budget. As much as I want to cater both my girls’ material needs (not to mention mine), I couldn’t do it regularly as I have to think of some other priorities too. Therefore, hand me down is very much common in my family. I, in fact had worn so many clothes that were handed-me-down by my cousins. Even the baby blanket that my brother owned is now in my care.
However, there are things that are indeed irresistible. Whenever I see designer shoes for little girls, I blindly take money out from my wallet and give in to what my heart says “take it or you won’t find that design ever again!” Can you blame me? I am a mother. I want the best for my kids. I want them to look fine and stand out from the crowd.
It’s a wonderful feeling when people comment “Your daughter is such an angel! She’s so adorable!” Or “Hey, where did you get that shoes from, they are stunning! Can you give me the shop’s name and I will get one for my daughter too?”
I am a mother. Period.

It’s been raining cats and dogs since the last weekend. Weather is a lot better compared to the last few weeks when it becomes so hot. In Bahrain, where my husband is, is the opposite. They are currently experiencing the hottest month where anyone would need a dehumidifier, if possible.
I remember, on August 23, 2006, the same season as this year’s (in Bahrain), there was a power outage for more than 12 hours. People went mad because the heat was horrible. I opted not to go home after the office work was suspended, instead I went to the hotel where my husband used to work and stayed there till the power came back. At least there, there was an A/C enough to soothe ourselves.

It’s been a while since the last time my desktop worked properly. It had been acting up since the day it got disconnected from the Internet. I, in fact, bought a wireless USB so that we don’t have to reinstall the cable meant for the Internet as it will be a mess if we take it out from the bedroom.
I asked the technician guy who does all the computer jobs for me but then after reading on some netbook reviews, I thought it would be more practical if we sell the desktop off, then get a new netbook or laptop out of that money. I have been eyeing for the HP mini in pink. Hmmm we’ll see if the husband can get one for me. I’m sure even Ate Deye will be very happy about it.
