Dress by Tsumori Chisato

My prize from Cherry’s Pasko sa Agosto is finally in my hand!  A dress designed by Tsumori Chisato.

Tsumori Chisato is a Japanese fashion designer. She attended Tokyo‘s Bunka Fashion College. She began work with Issey Miyake in 1977 and started her own line in 1990. She took her work to Paris in 2003 and has built a following in the United States. Her aesthetic focuses on prints and has a “healthy dose of manga/bohemian cuteness”.

I used to hate wearing dresses! I just don’t feel comfortable wearing one. For one, I have to be very careful with my moves and the way I sit. I used to cram whenever I need one for special occasions. I would contact my close friends to lend me one. Since then, I told myself, I’d better start buying my own so when I need one, I have it. That has become a habit that even if I don’t need one, I buy anything I like as long as it’s within my budget. Plus I am now ready to embrace changes for the sake of fashion and beauty! Haha! So, imagine the feeling of owning a dress designed by a famous foreign fashion designer like Tsumori Chisato? The best part, I didn’t pay a penny for having it! Take a peek!
