Teething Hassles

Nakakapraning yung stage when babies are teething. In my case, medyo panatag ako coz my mom was here at that time.

Pero ngayon, meron na namang 3 palabas sa taas, at isang nakalabas na. I think it’s the “bagang”.

When we were on vacation (2 months ago), she had this on and off fever. Syempre paranoid ako kasi nasa Pnas. Baka kako na-dengue na or something. It actually started a week before we left here. Kaya nagbyahe kami dalawang bote ata ng Paracetamol drops ang baon ko sa bag. I was lucky na hindi na-confiscate sa airport. There was another mom kasi na nakuha daw yung kanila. And it so happened na yung 3 year old boy nya may lagnat . We were at the boarding gate, and I noticed na tingin sya ng tingin. But I just ignored it. Yun pala she wanted to approached me and ask kung may paracetamol ako kasi nga I was carrying my daughter with me. Good thing I had. So I gave one to her. Pero binalik naman nya after a while. We met in the plane again and she was so thankful coz the fever had gone down.

Nakakapraning talaga kapag maysakit ang bata. Totoo pala yung feeling na you’d wish na ikaw na lang ang maysakit instead of them lalo na kung di pa nakakapagsalita ang bata.

Another instance when we were coming back to Bahrain. Again, may lagnat sya. Kung bakit naman tuwing babyahe saka nilalagnat. Imagine, long hours of trip na bitbit ko ang baby ko. Going home was fine coz my mom was with me, pero pabalik kami na lang and ang mali ko I left her stroller to give away to my mom’s friend who just gave birth. I was thinking na tutal naglalakad na sya so okay lang.

Man! Ang hirap! We left home (Olongapo) at 7am, coz our flight was at 4pm, and they require 4 hours check-in before the flight. Para sure mas inagahan namin kung may traffic man. At Huwebes Santo pa yun, kaya kakatakot. We reached on time only to tell us na flight is delayed for 2 and a half hours. OMG! Buti na lang nakiusap ako na kung pwedeng lumabas ulit, and I used my daughter as an alibi. Imagine, waiting in the van for hours, mainit tapos may lagnat ang bata.

Lesson learned. Next time wag ng bumyahe pag maysakit ang bata. But the thing was I had to be back on time as booked, otherwise my boss would have scolded me.

Sana etong mga palabas pa lang na ngipin won’t put her in pain like previously. Kasi kawawa naman…

  2. we all go through teething problems. and this start from childhood. as we grow older, they become more complicated. but what is important is the way we handle these problems.

a child’s teething problem is also always a mom’s pain.
