I still remember the first time I applied for a job. I had to check the bulletin boards and send my resume to the labor office in SBMA personally. With an exact amount of money in hand enough for my jeepney fare, I had no choice but to wait till I get home and quench my thirst. Looking back, finding a job was horrible and tiring.
When I first tried my luck abroad, I had a horrible experience applying. I had to wait the whole day outside the building, no lunch not even a snack in between just for the screening only to tell me “Sorry you are over qualified for a Hotel Receptionist”. They were telling me you had an office background blah blah blah! I told the Interviewer before I left his office, “Sir, I am not after the position, I need a job to earn a living, thanks anyway!” I was really upset. If only jobs were found online those days, I’m sure people won’t have to experience such. I am really glad how the technology evolved. In fact all kinds of job like finance jobs and even freelance ones are posted online. In just one click you are good to go!
