“Valuing a relationship is not merely done by seeing each other everyday. What counts is how much in our busy lives we remember each other.”
Today’s lunch made me recall the good and bad times that I had with my friends here for the past 8 years.
Friends come and go. It was just a month ago when I’ve convinced myself that I can’t anyone to keep in touch with me if they choose not to. May it be your friend. Or best friend. Or anyone. But sometimes, it just feels so bad when they just keep that relationship aside – for no reason. It hurts. You will somehow forget that feeling as you meet new people everyday, but still… the pain remains.
Though I’ve lost many of them in the past, I am blessed to have my bestfriend of a lifetime. We’ve been the best of friends since High School and managed to keep our friendship miles away. She’s in the US and I’m here. Yet, we never fail to say hi and bye whenever time allows us. We remember each other. In fact, she’s enjoying her holiday back home at the moment. She has visited my family two days ago and brought them pasalubong. I really wish that one day our paths will cross again – with our kids.
Yeah, I’m one of the lucky ones! 🙂
Korke ka dyan, but there are people kasi na yun ang basis… too sad.
Thanks! 🙂
Well, I hope she feels the same way.
