Ishi must be missing Chowking so much that she requested for Chao Fan. Why spend on a small portion when you can make it at home?

1 whole red onion, minced
5 cloves garlic, minced
500 gms ground pork
250 gms frozen mixed vegetables
2 sachets oyster sauce
salt/pepper to taste
3 eggs, scrambled
5 cups cooked rice
Steamed siomai for toppings
Spring onions for garnish

Here’s how:
Sauté the onions, then the garlic. Add in the ground pork.
Sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste. Sauté until the meat is cooked.
Add in the oyster sauce, scrambled eggs, cooked rice.
Keep mixing until everything is well-combined, then add in the frozen mixed vegetables.
In my case, if I am not satisfied with how it tastes, I add more oyster sauce as needed.
Then serve it with siomai on top, and garnish with spring onions.

For the dip sauce, I just mix a little of soy sauce, oyster sauce and calamansi/lemon extract, and that’s it! You’re done!
