Back then, on Christmas eve, I used to hang socks by the window. I was actually convinced that it was Santa who leaves presents and keep candies inside my socks; but as I grow older I begin to understand that it is just one of the fancy ways of making children happy just like how we believe in Fairy tales.
Now, it’s my turn to pass it on to my kids. Since last year, Ate Deye practices this tradition. As usual, I tell her that she’d better go to sleep before Santa passes by otherwise she’ll miss receiving gifts from him. I think she understands well when she immediately hung the socks by the window.
