When I was still working, I’ve once encountered a virus attack that wiped all my files off. I didn’t know what to do. All my files were gone. That time I didn’t have a back-up drive yet. Only after when it happened when we purchased an external drive. Since then I’ve started saving my files in the separate drive to keep everything safe. Thank God we were able to retrieve some of the important files from my office computer.
Our System Administrator had advised that I should be extra careful when downloading files from the internet as well as the pop-ups that I’ve mostly encountered when I was still using IE. He had installed some pop-up blockers too just in case…. That was the time when I started using Mozilla Firefox. My take? So far so good…
It’s nearly a year now since I got hooked into Digital Scrapping, and this hobby requires a lot of downloading elements, and they are all freebies. In other words, when it’s free, there’s the tendency that some are deliberately involving viruses. And I am very particular with that. I would usually download the elements that some have downloaded already. I have to remind myself, that the computer I’m using is now under my responsibility. Whatever happens to it, I am the one to shoulder all the troubleshooting fees and I want to avoid that. That’s why I wanted to purchase Symantec Norton Internet Security 2008 Premier Edition. They have special offers right now where it Buy.com price: $79.99 while in the List price: $89.99 plus:
