Connected Women Subic’s meetup on March 29 at Kairos House of Blends was a rousing success, filled with fun, insightful moments that truly celebrated Women’s Month. The speed-mentoring activity was the highlight of the event, aptly called, “Tech Up Your Branding Game: Speed Mentoring for Digital Empowerment”.
The speed mentoring activity was packed with expert mentors in the field of social media, public speaking, branding, and self-image improvement. Yours truly for social media strategy. I shared my expertise on how to leverage social media to promote one’s brand or business. Chum Flores, a sought-after public speaker, and educator in Subic was the mentor for public speaking, where she taught attendees the basics of effective communication. Cherie Romero-Floresca, an entrepreneur and the branding creative behind Diagram Advertising, CW Subic’s official ad partner, shared her insights on branding, emphasizing the importance of creating a unique, authentic, and refreshing brand. Lastly, Michelle Okoh, a PhilBeautiQ awardee, taught attendees how to improve their self-image to boost their confidence and self-esteem.
Midway through the speed-mentoring activity, Gina Romero, founder of Connected Women, made a surprise video call, which delighted the ladies of Subic. It was a special moment as it was a testament to how Connected Women values its members and their growth and development.
But the fun didn’t stop there. Partners like Mercy Borromeo of Skin Desyre San Marcelino added excitement with her classic Bring-Me game, where attendees had the chance to win Skin Desyre’s most in-demand products. And to celebrate Women’s Month, Skin Desyre hid words under the table related to the occasion, and lucky attendees won gift vouchers.
Personal branding consultancy and training provider IdeAlley also got in on the action with a trivia game about famous Filipina women, with five winners receiving 100 pesos worth of cellphone load.
And that’s just icing on the cake. While the speed mentoring session was meant to be a learning experience, two lucky ladies won day tour packages from White Rock Beach Hotel and Waterpark during the highly interactive activity.
Almost no one left empty-handed. Early bird attendees also won giveaways from mitchteryosa.com – the CW Subic’s official PR partner, as well as sample farm-fresh goodies from Lucky Twin J. The event truly provided an enjoyable and empowering experience for all who attended.
The hosts, Jen Cajucom and Mic Miravalles did an excellent job of making the event a memorable learning experience. They ensured that the attendees had an enjoyable time while also learning something new.
The Connected Women Subic meetup was a testament to the importance of empowering women, especially in today’s society. The event provided a safe and welcoming space for women to connect, share their experiences, and learn from one another. The mentors’ expertise and the partners’ games and giveaways made the event a success, making it a memorable experience for all who attended.
It was definitely a fun-filled and empowering event that highlighted the importance of women’s growth and development and also served as a reminder that women can achieve anything they set their minds to, and that with the right support and encouragement, they can thrive in any field they choose.
Simultaneous with the Connected Women Subic meetup were also other community-led meetups within and outside the Philippines. Within Zambales, Connected Women Olongapo, CW Castillejos, and CW San Felipe also joined yesterday’s simultaneous meetups with their respective hosts April Mora, Myra Concepcion, and Melissa Moscoso.
As for CW Subic, we can’t wait what our hosts will cook up for the next meetup as they roll up again their innovative and creative sleeves. Let’s see if they can top this innovative speed mentoring meetup they successfully curated.
