It’s been almost 2 months now since I had my LASIK surgery. I could say it was indeed a very successful operation. Since then, I was eyeglasses free. No side effects except for dryness that I feel at times. Maybe due to tiredness that my on and offline job bring. So what are the things that I do to take care of my eyes after the surgery? Nothing much, really. Except from:
- Whenever I feel tired after continuous hours spent in front of my computer, I take rest, close my eyes or stare at some plain background.
- I give it time to wash my face unlike before, the moment I got in the house from a long day, I immediately wash my face.
- Pair/s of sunglasses are now a part of my daily life, not because I want to give myself a different look but protect my eyes from brightness each time I am out.
- As much as possible, I refrain from reading with just a dim light on. I bought a white tubelight instead for the night lamp in the bedroom. That really helps me from looking closely at my computer.
It’s hard at times especially when you do not have enough time to remember all these things but it pays a lot to pay attention to small things. I’m trying my best to take extra care as I don’t want to end up wearing corrective glasses years from now, again!
