I had encountered so many people through other people/common friends (even back home) who approached me to help them get a job. As if ako yung may-ari o Manager, or may “power” to do so. It could’ve been a better approach if “pwede bang mag-apply sa inyo?” rather than “ipasok mo naman ako”. In the first place, I am not into recruiting by profession. And I’d only like to help people who help themselves too. You do the rest!
Recently, may na-encounter ako. I gave the info that we are hiring people at the moment, I mean the company I am working for. I made the person’s resume. Submitted it. I even scheduled an appointment for that person to meet with the concerned Manager. That person got interviewed and was told to come back on a certain date and time. Well, that person did not. That person called me like 30 minutes after the given time to check if the Manager was back from a business trip. Haller! You could’ve called prior to that appointment and not after. So, again, I checked. That person got into the 2nd interview. And again was advised ” we will call you”.
Why call me? Oooopsie! Why miss call me? Why not call them straight and ask about the status? Would it be better if they know that you’re really interested if you follow it up yourself?
Haaaay! ‘La lang, just pissed off!
