When I learned that Logos Hope is returning to Subic this year, we made a plan. Just in time for a long weekend and we were spending it in Olongapo anyway which is closeby (where it’s docked is approximately about 30-40 minutes from where we live now), we pursued our plan yesterday.
This time there were 8 of us: My parents, my househelp and her son, my kids and their cousin, Tameej. There is an entrance fee of Php20 per person but kids under 13 y/o are for free. Also, be ready for a long walk. Designated parking area is way too far from the area where it’s docked. This is something that SBMA should consider the next time Logos Hope is here. In my dad’s case, he took a while to reach the venue because of the distance. For senior citizens who suffer from gout and arthritis, then it’s a big problem even if you bring a car with you.
The girls went ahead since it was slightly raining as we were approaching the ship. Good thing we made it on time just before it poured.
It pretty much looked the same as it was in 2012, when it first docked here in Subic.
The girls rushed to the section where picture and Princesses books were placed! Glad I was able to brief them (as usual) that I will only buy what I can afford. The two little girls were gladly convinced to buy one each of Busy Little Princess with over 120 pages of activities and 300 stickers. Ate Deye was kind enough to gave way to bunso, and agreed on sharing the same book instead.
Bringing up Girls Php150 (I just thought I needed this book badly teehee!)
Low Cholesterol Php100 (Perfect for me!)
Busy Little Princess Php150
Heart Smart, The Shelter of God’s Promises, The Snare, Mended and The Vow, 5 books for Php250
Of course, I won’t forget to grab a Logos Hope mug to add to my collection.
After we passed the Cashier, we had our photo opps taken then headed on to the Kids Area and Coffee Shop where they sell snacks like ice cream, popcorn, and beverages, which explains the signage that reads No food and drinks allowed by the entrance.
Snacks are quite pricey. I would suggest that it’s either you eat before you visit the ship or grab something after the visit somewhere else. I opted for the latter. We had our decent meals in Wimpy’s afterwards. Everybody was happy teehee!
Last but not the least, an area for souvenir photos by the exit hallway completed our visit! Look at the kids, they gladly enjoyed every shot I took!
Here’s a shoutout to those who plan to visit MV Logos Hope.

I once visited a ship filled with books too! I forgot the name of the ship though because that was a very long time ago. Looks like the kids enjoyed the trip!
