I was checking one of our moving boxes few days ago and found my baby journal {hard copy}, went through it and saw the poem I made two years ago…
I drift into my memories
When I first heard the news
I was going to be a mother,
My joy kept growing fonder.
I dreamt of holding you
And pictured how you looked
Wished you would have Dada’s nose
Funny, I really would like to know.
Wondered if you ever smiled,
When I talked to you from the outside.
Wondered if you ever heard,
When Dada sung a lullabye.
Waiting was the hardest part,
Nine months seemed like ages for us.
Finally, I heard you cried,
And all I pictured in my mind.
Thank you, my precious little one,
For bringing joy to our hearts.
You just don’t know how proud we are,
For having you in our lives…
