Guess who messaged me through Friendster? My high school friend whom I haven’t seen for ages. When I checked her profile her location reads NY. Hmmmm… as in New York. I messaged her back and we were able to chat after that. She said that she just got there a couple of months ago. She was petitioned by her betterhalf who happened to be working there. For the first two months, she didn’t want to do anything but tour. Until she realized how expensive it was to stay there without earning, at least for her personal needs. She’s been trying find a job through online job databases but always afraid that she might choose the wrong one.
I remember saving one link in my favorites during the time when we planned to migrate to US. Good thing it was still there. It’s the NY jobs blog. Gave her the link and said she’ll get back to me once she gets any response from whoever.
Anyway, it was nice hearing from her again…
