It’s not something that we do regularly. If I am to count the number of times that my husband and I went to see a movie, without thinking hard, the answer is twice. Our first movie date happened in year 1999, with a chaperon. That was also our very first date. The second time happened out of the blue.
Today will be the 3rd time in 12 years since we have been together. And this time I asked him out. It’s not about the movie that is being shown at the one and only cinema in SBMA. It’s more of our bonding moment as a couple. He’s fond of watching movies. He could sit for hours and even a day just watching. I’m not and I can’t. I asked him out for the sake of spending time together without the kids and sort of making up for the days that I have to be at work while he is on vacation.
I am also confident to leave the kids at home because I know that my mom can always check on my girls. Besides, the nanny is just around to keep an eye on them and be with them while we are out. I won’t need to worry about missing things. There’s definitely no need of getting an amsec safety box for that matter.
Therefore, we will enjoy this moment, this very rare moment.
