The moment I decided leaving my current job, I started looking for other opportunities which I think I am qualified for. I checked sites like Odesk and Online Jobs for possible homebased job openings that I might qualify. I found two and able to go through interviews over Skype. Both were scheduled during wee hours as they are following US timings.
So, basically I had two choices: HR Recruiter and Managerial VA. I had an initial interview with the first one that I mentioned. With the latter one, I had the usual initial interview, online exams and video call interview with the Operations Manager at 3am, Manila time, last Thursday.
This morning, I took the liberty of messaging the Operations Manager following up the status of my application since I was already through with the final stage of the process, and this was her reply:
Congratulations for passing our hiring process! You are now one step closer in becoming a VA. I will endorse you to our HR specialist for the requirements you need to submit in order to be included in our next batch of training. Again welcome to the team! Please message our HR for your training schedule & requirements.
Indeed, there are bigger opportunities that come your way after the other!
The compensation is a lot better compared to what I am getting now, and what makes it more better is that it is a homebased job. Meaning, I’d have more quality time with the girls, which I have always wished for.
I, therefore, call myself officially a WAHM beginning next month. Thank you Lord!!
Congratulations! I wish you the best in this new endeavor 🙂
Thanks Eileen!
Congratulations sis! 😀 Like Eileen, I wish you the best too. Hopefully I too can get an online sideline (not a full-time online job though ’cause I have a day job to keep) in the future.
Thanks Sumi! Tiyaga tiyaga lang sa paghanap, dami dyan.
wow. ang swerte mo ha! congrats! sana makakuha din ako ng ok na sideline dun. usually kasi ang baba ng offer.
As I’ve said sis, tiyagaan lang at kulitan sa pag-apply hehe!
Congratulations to your new job! How lucky you got a job from odesk….I’ve tried that but no luck!
Thanks Kaye! Actually, the job that I got was through onlinejobs.ph. Pero meron din sana yung through Odesk kaso mas mababa nga lang kaya I chose the other one.
Congratulations, sis!!! may mga part-time ba sa onlinejob.ph? kelangan ko ng mas maraming sideline eh, in addition to direct selling para makabalik sa sa grad school sa June 🙂
Thanks! Dami dun sis. Gawa ka account mo para manotify ka sa new posted jobs.
onlinejobs.ph pala 🙂
Congrats on your new job! Indeed, good things come to those who wait 🙂
Thanks! Indeed!
Hi Mommy mitchteryosa,
Congratulations! I too, have joined the bandwagon of work-at-home mom. And I love every single second of it. Fortunately my other employer is so lenient and flexible with time, so I found the opporunity to have another job at night writing articles, and working only for 4hours. Comparing it with the expenses of driving or commuting to work everyday, working at home still leaves you with a better compensation.
So, congratulations and I love your blog! Swing by my blog sometime!
Thanks sis! I used to work from home but got bored that I wanted to go back to the Corporate world. Since I now have two girls whose demands are also growing, I just thought I needed to find an option, working from home, that is.
Yep, this one is giving me a lot better pay.
Thanks and glad you liked my blog!
