The day I met my husband, he was already smoking. He is a chain smoker and could finish 2 packets in a day. When we were trying to get pregnant with our first born, I requested if he could cut down his smoking as some people mentioned that it affects a lot. I told him that he could try some alternative like using an ecig (not sure about the difference of the nicotine of real cigs between nicotine concentration of ecigs. Whatever it was, whatever different it has, it didn’t matter coz he never listened anyway. He continued to smoke the same amount. We were just lucky to be gifted a baby girl 9 months later from the day we tied the knot.
The same issue was brought up with my 2nd pregnancy. But this time I told him to also cut down on his drinking. He was on vacation and it was so hard to tell him that, coz obviously he was enjoying the few days of his rest. I kept on telling him that I am not saying he should stop, just cut down. Otherwise, whatever effort I am giving, it is no use if he won’t cooperate. Glad he did on the latter part and again, we were blessed to have another baby girl for the 2nd time.
