PMN Fam Pics : Potted

PMN Fam Pics theme for this month is potted – anything placed in a pot.

After a long time, I was able to join one of the family events that I usually miss because of the miles away distance. And last time was more memorable because Deye was with me. It so happened that my cousin celebrated her 13th birthday when we were on vacation last March 2007.

Above photo were just one of the dishes that we had – Spag, Caldereta, Kare-kare and Sisig. See below photo of the sisig preparation made by my cousins…Family birthdays are never complete without this, our “manginginoms” will complain!

It was fun! I enjoyed the food a lot!

A giant leap like this is such a challenging journey but indeed is rewarding. A few bumps along this whole journey did not stop me from being the best version of myself.

  1. wow Mitch, those are HUGE pots indeed! I guess most Pinoy birthday celebrations are like that, very festive, buong baranggay kasalo sa handaan, ang mga sunog-baga parang mga kabuteng nagsulputan from wherever.

    I’m kinda curios what dish was in the pot beside the spag pasta? sinigang sa miso with mustasa ba yun or Kare-kare. all of the potted dishes looks scrumptious, nakakagutom tuloy. 🙂

    Ay oo super laki talaga, sa Cortezes lang kulang pa hehe! As in kumpleto kami dyan ++ pa hahaha! Buti na lang di ako ang taya nyahahaha!

    Kare-kare yun sis! Mukhang miso ano? :p

  2. buti na lang, kagagaling ko lang sa pinas, kundi ginutom na naman ako hehehe.. birthdays in pinas is really something to remember.

    Sinabi mo, parang wala ng bukas kung maghanda haha!
