This week’s theme is shadow.
A shadow is a region of darkness where light is blocked.
This was taken in Our Lady of Manaoag, Pangasinan. I promised that I should pay a visit when I go home next. It was also my first time to go there. Since firsts matter to me a lot, I said I won’t leave the place without taking any photos. But after numbers of trying, it comes like this (see below). I don’t know if the light was just blocked; or my camera wasn’t good enough; or simply these statues do not want any photos taken. I’ll take the last one…. It always happens to me when I capture any religious statues. Either the roll gets wasted or it doesn’t get washed!

I am happy to share my adventures as I walk through motherhood and have to do most things on my own while my husband works miles away from us. Turning my passion into a profitable venture is another thing.
Authoring and managing this personal blog developed my social media awareness over the years.
From being an ex-OFW to doing what I am good at in the comfort of my own home – while taking good care of my 3 wonderful kids, I hope that people see me as a great inspiration when it comes to pursuing my passion and turning it into a profitable venture.
A giant leap like this is such a challenging journey but indeed is rewarding. A few bumps along this whole journey did not stop me from being the best version of myself.
i think the statues are camera-shy, i do believe that, too. scary!
It also happened to me when I went to India. It was also my first time. I took all the statues’ photos and nothing good came out. That time I used a manual cam. It has an ATS feature, so I first asked to have the index printed out. Only those shots were came “black”, but the photos before and after turned out okay. Strange huh?
the photos are clear enough so I can see how ornate their clothing is and how important the people were.
It’s an indoor photography. Did you have enough flash?
@ Abaniko : I think so. 🙂
@ Meeyauw : Thanks!
