As women we go through phases of gaining a bunch of confidence and then losing it completely. It’s definitely not a good feeling when your self-esteem gets shattered. But there are ways to keep your chin up, and stand tall – while really believing it. Woman of today’s society have it hard. We’re constantly criticized for the way we dress, to the way we act, and even the way we speak! Although it’s hard not to let it affect you – it can be done. Here’s how to get your body confidence back for good.
Lose weight There are many different ways you can lose weight, whether that be done through diet and exercise or the new crazes like CoolSculpting and Laser Lipo.
Whatever route you take to getting the body you desire, it’s important to do so in a healthy manner. It’s no good starving yourself to lose weight. You would be causing serious damage to your body, and the weight wouldn’t stay off anyway because your body needs to eat eventually, and when you do – you’ll just gain the weight back on.
Whenever you plan on making a drastic change in your lifestyle, always let your doctor know first. Not only will they advise you of the best actions to take, but they’ll also give you an honest opinion on whether your idea is a good one or not.
New look Get a new look. Cut and color your hair, and change up your wardrobe a little. Sometimes we see clothes that we absolutely adore, but never try them on because we don’t think we’re able to pull off something that bold, or funky. But have you ever tried, just for the fun of it? You may be in for a big surprise!
Plan a day out with your girlfriends. Pick out the craziest clothes you see; things that are the complete opposite to what you would usually buy, and ask your friends to choose some things for you too. You’re not allowed to no, so go into that changing room and put on a fashion show.
If you see anything that excites you, don’t think twice – just buy it!
Believe in yourself One of the most important things of all is being able to believe in yourself, and that comes from within. Whether you’re big, small, wide or narrow – you’re perfect. And everyone should tell themselves that at least once every day. You may feel silly but reinforcing positivity on a regular basis will train your body to accept it.
Stop comparing yourself to unrealistic photographs of celebs; you’ve got to understand that what you see in the media isn’t an honest representation of women, at all. It’s merely an idea.
Embrace what you’ve got, and if you’re not happy about something – change it.
You’re beautiful. Your best friend is beautiful. And your neighbor is beautiful.
No one can ever take that away from you. Not unless you let them. And why would you want to do that?
When I’m feeling a bit down, sometimes all it takes is for me to spend a little extra time pampering myself, a little bit longer in the bath, or more time conditioning and styling my hair, and I end up feeling so much better. It’s amazing what a little more ‘me time’ can do for my confidence 🙂
