Asthma could be the most troublesome respiratory disease to anyone especially for children. My 4 y/o daughter had asthma attacks recently making us panic each time she encounters wheezing cough at night. I read online that turmeric does not only add spice to your favorite dishes but also helps you relieve from asthma attacks. So lucky that we have this available in the household. Being married to an Indian national explains why I have these spices readily available at home.
Since my daughter is still into bottle feeding, I took the advantage of mixing a teaspoon of turmeric powder to her milk. I’m just another lucky mom who has daughters that could tolerate and take any type of medicines without a fuss!
After taking this remedy for a couple of days, she felt better letting both of us sleep through the night. I also give her two teaspoons of pure honey before bedtime which seemed to be helpful as well, plus of course the essentials that every asthmatic person should have/take.
I feel you, sis! My son has asthma too, and the faintest cough or the slightest sniffle makes me frantic.
