Watson’s Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips

I seldom try beauty products like nose strips and moisturizer until I began feeling the feeling of ageing. At 38 (going 39), I became conscious on how I look everyday. Today, I got the chance of visiting my favorite beauty retail chain in Asia, Watson’s, and was convinced to purchase Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips. I was actually intrigued when I saw the box that says “with witch hazel and aloe vera extract“. From what I know, witch hazel is a flowering plant that can be used as astringent.

The leaves and bark of the North American Witch-hazel Hamamelis virginiana may be used to produce an astringent,[9] also referred to as witch hazel, and is used medicinally. This plant extract was widely used for medicinal purposes by American Indians and is a component of a variety of commercial healthcare products.[9]

It’s mainly used externally on sores, bruises, and swelling. Witch hazel hydrosol is used in skin care. It is a strong anti-oxidant and astringent.[9] It is often used as a natural remedy for psoriasis, eczema, aftershave applications, ingrown nails, to prevent sweating of the face, cracked or blistered skin, for treating insect bites, poison ivy, and as a treatment for varicose veins and hemorrhoids.[10] It is found in numerous over-the-counter hemorrhoid preparations.[11] It is recommended to women to reduce swelling and soothe wounds resulting from childbirth.[12] –Wikipedia

While “Extracts from Aloe vera are widely used in the cosmetics and alternative medicine industries, being marketed as variously having rejuvenating, healing, or soothing properties.”

As soon as I got home, I tried it and amazed by how my blackheads were removed in few minutes. (I can be hard headed at times, when the instruction says 10-15 minutes, I had it on my nose for only 5 minutes. Just testing if it works miracle heehee!)

Excuse the dirt but I just had to show it. Indeed, it cleans clogged pores and help remove unwanted blackheads.

Clean and wet the nose area.
Dry your hands and apply nose pore strip.
Smooth and press down firmly over nose and leave on for 10-15 minutes.
Peel off and then rinse thoroughly with water.

Since the pores were already open, I skipped the last step. Instead, I applied moisturizer afterwards.

For only Php119.00, you can have a box of 10 nose strips and it’s worth the buy!
