Ukay-ukay actually means “dig in” that refers to selection of used clothing displayed in heaps. In Baguio, I think it’s called Wagwagan.
We went to the Night Market in SBMA the other night after we paid visit to our departed loved ones and saw this stall that reads Ukay-ukay. The clothes displayed were hanging and unused, they were actually slightly damaged items from the factory.
Aside from the fun and exciting part going through all the items in heaps and hangers – the prices are really affordable. Such a good treat for someone like me who’s never after of the items’ brand names, for as long as they fit me well and are in good condition, I really don’t care!
Now, lemme show you the items that I bought for myself:
A sweater for only Php150.00
A longsleeve to for only Php100.00
A miniskirt for only Php130.00 and a printed capri pants for Php75.00
Good finds eh? I’m able to save some for me and bro’s cellphone memory cards.
Those are nice finds Mitch. Hope you had a nice weekend.
My WS is up too.

Php100 nakalagay eh, pareho ba?
my wife & i used to go to ukay-ukay almost every weekend back cagayan de oro where we lived. and before we left phils, the last week we spent all in different ukay-ukay outlets in manila! i remember going to Anonas MRT. wow! and also to Bambang.
you’ll find better deals at Anonas. promise. hoodies, like the one you bought for P150, you can get it there for P50 lang! no kidding! most of our winter jackets were bought there. mostly at around P80-P100/each lang.

Hi Jaejae! Kaso po I’m here in Olongapo hehe! I think most of the people who has Ukay-ukay stalls here are coming from Manila and different places. Bale Christmas Bazaar kasi yun eh, mga dayo ata yung nagtitinda dun sa Night Market, usually it starts in October and ends in January, yearly.
Those are nice things
