Weekend

Derrick landed at 9:45 a.m. did whatever procedures that have to be done and finally home again at past 11 a.m. When Deye saw him standing by the door, “Dada there!” she exclaimed. As promised, he then gave her a box of chocolates and Santa Claus stuffed toy.

At 3 p.m. we went to the 3rd Annual Carnival Fair 2007. I really thought that we would miss this event this year.

We didn’t have good photos this time unlike the last two years.

I was still 8th months pregnant in this photo.

We waited for the fireworks show and left at around 7pm. Didn’t to anywhere else as Derrick had to catch an early morning flight. At 3 a.m. he called their Dispatch Office to check if the flight is confirmed and he was told that the flight for the day is at 1 p.m. Lucky him! He’s got few more hours to sleep.

We were up at 9 a.m. for breakfast. He left at 11 a.m. Back to normal. At around 3 p.m. he was calling from his mobile saying that he missed the flight coz he was held at the Immigration for some reasons. I was actually smiling from ear to ear, that means another day to spend with him. He reached home at half past 3 p.m. That moment Deye was crying coz she wanted another pack of chocolates to be opened and I didn’t allow her. As I heard the door bell ringing, I ran towards the living room and left Deye inside, it was Derrick. When he was stepping in the house, Deye was already behind me and said while crying “Dada there!”

The next morning, he was able to get on the 5 a.m. flight. Before leaving, he told Deye that he’s going to work again somewhere else, that he would bring more chocolates for her…. Deye finished his sentence by saying “and baby, and doll?” Yup, she wanted more the next time they see each other.
