I had the chance to met Lolong, the world’s biggest crocodile, in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. Since the place was just 2 hours drive from Butuan City, where we had our training, we decided to have a side trip and see how big and long Lolong is.
Lolong is the largest crocodile in captivity. He is an Indo-Pacific or Saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) measured at 20 feet 3 inches (6.17 m), making him one of the largest crocodiles ever measured from snout-to-tail.

A group photo opp with Mang Loloy (in red sando), one of the guys who helped Mang Lolong captured world’s biggest crocodile now known as “Lolong”, named after Mang Lolong who died few days later after that. More photos here.
