I used to collect stuffed toys for myself until the day I had to come back home and realized it is no longer practical to accumulate such.
I worked abroad over 9 years and collected a lot of them and learned while packing our things that I had so far a balikbayan box full of stuffed toys. Since I value gifts (majority of them were gifts from friends) as much as I value my family, with no second thoughts, I shipped the box along with our major stuff. Right now, since we have a very small place to keep these, I stored it in my parents’ house and God knows when I’d have them displayed again. From then on, I never bought anything like these nor collected them except for the ones that were given to my kids.
