As part of the Buwan ng Wika activities in my daughters’ school, they have arranged a movie date entitled Boses for the learners and their parents, which was also open to the extended family members. I wasn’t interested until I saw the trailer posted on YouTube. The boy who portrayed the role of Onyok, the abused child, happened to be the son of Deye’s first violin teacher.
The story tackles child abuse, healing, friendship, forgiving, learning and teaching.
