Golden Gift

Yesterday’s Golden Wedding Party that we attended was a success. We learned that it was a surprise party for the couple. They didn’t even know that the youngest son has come from the US for this special event.

I’m really glad we were able to witness their renewal of vows. It was a fun filled and touching moment. The part when the youngest son, Kuya Rodel marched down the aisle last with his sons was indeed a touching moment. Everyone wept a tear including me.

If I’m not mistaken, the last time I met with Kuya Rodel was when I was still in High School. We had a chance to talk and update each other. I mentioned that we are also trying to migrate to US. He said that they are planning to have a vacation in HI this coming school break with his whole family and they are also planning to bring his parents again at the same time and spend some time with them in HI as their post golden gift to them. He mentioned about some Hawaii Vacation Info that he saw in Kauai Travel Blog, he said that they might try one of this Kauai vacation rentals.

He might visit us next week before he flies back to NY with his sons. It’s really fun and great to meet with old friends that you haven’t seen for a long time…
