MTV Emerge

Since the day I worked abroad, I lost interest with music. My daily life evolved with work, waiting for my contract to finish so I could get home and relax. I didn’t even know who Sarah Geronimo was and even Apl.de.Ap. Funny but I came to know about his song “Bebot” through my Indian husband who happened to be amazed by how he performed that song.

Watching our local stars these days move up in their career internationally, I realized that Filipinos are really musically inclined and talented. And I’m sure there are more like them who aren’t discovered yet. Now, that’s where MTV Emerge comes in.

MTV Emerge is a platform for unsigned music talent in the Philippines to showcase their work and to be given an opportunity to win a one-year recording contract with Jeepney Music.

I’m positive that this MTV, Jeepney Music, and Department of Tourism collaboration project will certainly change unsigned music artists’ lives in a few snaps.

The seven grand winners of MTV Emerge will win a one-year recording contract with Jeepney Music and mentorship under Apl.de.Ap. The contract includes artist management and promotion, digital distribution of 3 – 6 songs and a strategic marketing plan for the signed artists to break into both the Philippines and international markets.

The winners will also be invited and introduced by Apl.de.Ap at the live showcase event on November 27.
