This little Christmas tree will be celebrating its 9th year this coming Christmas eve of 2008. Definitely, I will put this up but this time in my home where I grew up. Yes, I have brought it home with me here in the Philippines…
It’s not the lights nor the branches still intact with each other that make me value this little tree but the treasured memories that go with it…
It was the Christmas Eve of 1999 when my husband gave it to me who was my one-week-old-boyfriend at that time. I was literally weeping over not having the chance to celebrate my Christmas with my family for the first time, because I was already here in Bahrain. He was trying to console me by telling me itβs okay, we can celebrate here anyway blah blah blahβ¦. Before we headed for the Christmas midnight mass, he asked me to go with him to town, but never had the idea that he would actually get a Christmas tree for me. –2007

A giant leap like this is such a challenging journey but indeed is rewarding. A few bumps along this whole journey did not stop me from being the best version of myself.
That is really sweet Mitch! If I were you I would definitely keep that tree dressed up every Christmas! π
Sadly, we don’t bother buying Christmas Trees here…
