The apartment we are renting in has a terrace. Since we occupy the 2nd floor, a staircase of about 14 stairs is there and of course it’s not that safe for a toddler to run around. Just two weeks ago, we had a safety gate installed made of steel.

In terms of design, I had to keep it minimal and told the guy not to put horizontal support coz my bunso might step and climb on it that could cause an accident. We also have anticipated that bunso will be able to pull the latch and can still open the gate so I bought a padlock that does not need a key, I think it’s called a combination lock.

At least we won’t have to rush and find the key to get it unlocked each time somebody comes or we needed to go out. At least now bunso can play at the terrace without us getting worried but of course still with parental guidance.

Okay yan para mas maging safe. Delikado kasi minsan lalo na kung madulas o umulan.
Safety first…especially for the kids. Somehow, the gate acts as a no-sign for strangers….Happy weekend to you and yours! 🙂
