If you are a person that spends most of your time at a computer or with a telephone to your ear, then chances are you may end up with a common elbow ailment known as cubital tunnel syndrome. Symptoms includes some numbness, weakness or pain in your hand or pain on the inner side of your elbow.
Treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome involves resting the area affected by placing a splint or an elbow pad so that it will prevent if not minimize the flexion of the elbow, cubital tunnel splint is slightly burdensome, but it can simply be worn at night. Medications such as anti-inflammatory and steroid injection will help substantially. With proper non-operative care, surgery is typically avoided.
