I’m So Pinay

Though I’ve been out of the country for almost 8 years, I’m still so Pinay in my mind, heart and soul, naks!

I mean, I don’t force myself in adopting the lifestyle here, rather the lifestyle abroad. Call me kuripot, but that’s who and how I am.

If, I have to choose between,

Baskin Robin’s ice cream and dirty ice cream, I’d choose the last one.

Lay’s and V-cut, V-cut.

Croissant and pandesal, pandesal.

Hershey’s and Chocnut, Chocnut. But I must admit, in this category, I’m confused! Hahaha!

Dove and Safeguard, Safeguard. Malinis pati konsensya! :p

Arabiatta and Pinoy spag style mixed with ketchup, I’d choose the last one.

Toast with butter/jam and pan-de-kape, it’s more exciting to have pan-de-kape combi, agree?

Last, but not the least…

Jo Malone and Johnson’s/Green Cross cologne scents, solid Johnson’s and Green Cross ako! Anong panama ng amoy ni Malu Fernandez sa amoy ko after that? Nyahahaha! Yun pala ang gusto iparating eh! :p

  1. Talaga lang…Johnson’s Baby cologne ang cologne ng sosi. Di naman sosi yang M. Fernandez na yan. Pa-sosi pa kamo. Kita mo itsura niya? I’m not gonna say anything condescending…baka ma-quote pa ako 🙂

    She likes Jo Malone’s daw eh! No matter how hard she tries to be one, she won’t look like a diva like she was actually wanting to be. Wanna-be forever title fits her. Tsaka nya huh! Dapat nya munang ayusin eh yung matabil nyang dila! How dare she said those things to OFWs, kakagigil! Hmp!

  2. hi mitch.. wow, its been awhile since i’ve made my blogroll rounds. been too busy trying to get ready for the baby 🙂 bago na pala blog mo 🙂

    anyway, i feel the same way too about being Filipina. Though I’ve lived in NY for quite some time, I still have all those traits that make me Filipina in many ways. Breakfast wouldn’t be the same without pan de sal and coffee. Everyweek, my sister and I would drop by the nearest Filipino store just for the basic provisions any Filipino needs.

    Akala ko nga nanganak ka na… Kelan nga ba? Yup, two weeks na ata ako dito sa WP.

    Buti na lang nga may available na Fil products dito, lalo na ang Boy Bawang at Chocnut. :p

  5. ako din, very filipina indeed. i prefer tocino and tapa over steaks and pancit over spaghetti! 🙂

    hindi parin ako nakakagawa ng post about our EB. mejo busy and kindda malungkot so ibang post nagawa ko 🙂

  6. same here mitch. pinay pa din ako.. and since most of the products brand here are the same sa pinas.. i didnt really have a hard time choosing. 🙂

    Swerte nga eh, Fil products are available here. Otherwise, lagi na lang akong maglalaway haha!

  7. I got hungry reading this. I love chocnut. Have you ever tried the Chocnut ice cream from Pan de Manila. Yummy chocnut bits in the ice cream. Now did I make your drool?

    Mmmmm, not yet. If I knew, for sure natikman ko yan when I went home.
