After we hung up the phone yesterday, she continued talking and talking and talking… After a while I heard her singing la la la la, trying to put her Barbie to sleep. She then asked her “Baba? No, baba gone!” I laughed to death because she was trying to imitate me hahaha!
You see, when I tuck her in bed at night, I usually sing a song for her but there are times when I’m not in the mood to do it. She’ll tell you the title of the songs that she would like to hear, and if I’m not in the mood to sing it, I’d simply say No, ____ gone and/or sleeping. The truth was I just had to make false reasons and excuses so that she would stop asking.
