I really panicked when Connie emailed and informed me the other day about my old blog being redirected to some soft porn sites.
It was really weird because I remember deleting the said blog the moment I migrated to WordPress. And that’s how I lost the opportunity to continue paid blogging with PPP.
After I received Connie’s email, I tried all the possible ways to get into it but unfortunately I couldn’t. When I checked the site, it was really there and Connie was right. It was redirected to some porn sites. It actually had my photo shown on the profile section. Oh my God! That’s what really made me worried and panicked.
The last solution that saved my face was when I deleted Blogger through my Google Account. I took the risk. Here’s a screenshot preview when you access your Google Account:
I wish I could show you the screenshot of the options that will appear as you click Blogger. Since I’ve completely deleted Blogger in my Google Account, that gives me the restriction to access that page. I just don’t know what would happen if I try to create a new blog account with them using the same email address. I don’t think I would. Now that I’ve experienced this, I’ll be very careful…. more careful in the future.
I don’t mean to create or give Blogger a bad image here by posting this article. I just want my readers to know that this could ALSO happen to them. So please take care.
To Connie, thanks a lot for bringing this to my attention. I have managed to disable my old blog. It worked. It now shows Page Not Found. I really appreciate it!
Sinabi mo pa!
Weird talaga! Or baka sa Senior Moments Blog? :p
Nagpanicked nga ako nun grabeeeeeee! Ngayon naman may naencounter akong splog, napost itong entry na ito sa isang porn site pero naginstall na ako ng plugin para maprevent yun.
