This time no one awarded me but myself hahaha! I awarded myself an
Achievement Award for the category of:
Making Chicken Adobo tastes like adobo hahaha!
Been trying so many times but I don’t know why I can’t cook Adobo perfectly. I feel embarrassed every time my friends tell me with a teasing smile on their faces “ano, adobo lang di mo alam, eh yun nga ang madali“. Ok fine! It’s easy I know. But what can I do? Every time I do, I would always end up with fried salted chicken nyahahaha!
After so many years of trying, I did it! In a different way. I added potatoes in it. Fried the potatoes first, sauteed the chicken pieces in ginger, then I brought everything into boil (that of course includes the soy sauce and garlic). Added vinegar when it was almost done. Simmered for a while and tadaaaa!
My Chicken Adobo tastes like adobo!

Of course I did! That’s how I knew it turned out well! 😉
I looked a little closer at you profile portrait and I think I recognize a strong resemblance to the family that I know…
tell them I said hello
You deserve lotsa awards not only for the adobo. also for being prolific. for being a super mom. for being so funny-sweet.
Pero your post reminds me of the ulam that my hub and children cook in may when the maid is away. Tinola na hindi linagyan ng luya at hindi ginisa. Adobo na walang suka. Pritong isda na lasug-lasug. Nice … if you’re on a diet.
