At 5am yesterday, I was awaken by a text message from my officemate informing that the flood/water level inside their house was already hip deep. I immediately got up from bed and checked outside from the terrace. That time it was only ankle level and got worsen hours and hours later.
Photos taken right in front where I live, at the intersection of Cabling Lane and Rosa Gonzales Lane, which we call “crossroad“.
The third shot above was taken minutes before my cellphones went dead. It even gotten worst and reached the neck level an hour later.
5 out of 15 steps gone.
What’s scary about it was the strong current.
Our place was actually luckier than the rest of the places in Olongapo. Going out later to fill up our food stocks and to also see what’s left for us outside. 🙁
I am a full-time home-based Marketing Manager by day, 24/7 Mom, and a Blogger/Content Creator in my spare time. Proud mom to 2 girls and 1 boy, Derelle, Erchelle, and Elric.
I am happy to share my adventures as I walk through motherhood and have to do most things on my own while my husband works miles away from us. Turning my passion into a profitable venture is another thing.
Authoring and managing this personal blog developed my social media awareness over the years.
From being an ex-OFW to doing what I am good at in the comfort of my own home – while taking good care of my 3 wonderful kids, I hope that people see me as a great inspiration when it comes to pursuing my passion and turning it into a profitable venture.
A giant leap like this is such a challenging journey but indeed is rewarding. A few bumps along this whole journey did not stop me from being the best version of myself.
this is so sad. we also experience the same thing here in QC and Malabon. I pray that you and your family as well as our kababayans there are safe. May we all recover from this calamity 🙁
