Back then, when asked “What’s your ambition?” I would always say, “I want to be an Engineer, yung umaakyat sa building” It was just years after that when I learned that it’s called a Civil Engineer.
Now it’s my turn to ask my eldest “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and she would say “Doctor”. I have no problem with that, as long as we can still support her studies, there would be no issues. Besides Family or General Practitioner Jobs are everywhere, that it if she wants to master on that. But recently there was a change of what she wants to be. Simply because “Ayaw ko ng blood”. Thought you may want to read our conversation here.
I’m sure she’d still change her mind. No worries. Whatever she wants. Whatever my children want, we won’t insist anything that they don’t like or want to do.
