I’m just glad that I have continued contributing to my Social Security during the time when I decided to just stay at home. When I gave birth to my youngest, I was able to receive the social security benefits that a paying citizen should really get.
However, my mom who is now closely to 60 did not see the advantage of this. In short, she has no SS of her own. In the next few weeks, she’s scheduled for a thyroid operation and unfortunately won’t be getting medical benefits of her own. Sad part, I still could not declare her as one of my beneficiaries because of her age.
