6 bunches of Gabi Leaves
3 Coconut Milk
1 Coconut Water
4 Siling Labuyo or green chillies
Tinapa or Dried Fish
Salt to taste
1. Bring the coconut milk to boil. Add the onions, ginger and gabi leaves.
2. Pour the coconut water.
3. Put the sili and tinapa/dried fish. If you prefer it spicier, then put the sili together with the onions, ginger and leaves.
4. Sprinkle salt to taste.
5. Leave it on slow fire until it’s dry. Do not cover as it may give some after taste.
Note: My way of cooking laing may be different from how others do it, so try this only if you are comfortable following my method.
